This is information on your Starter Package and what it includes, so you know what your character is receiving in-game!
The package is carefully wrapped in brown paper and tied with equally neutral, thick and durable yarn. As you unwrap it, several items are revealed - a strange engineered device, a folded tabard with a dark background, and two notes sitting on top of it all.
The first note states: "Welcome to the crew. Feel free to take a mechanical squirrel from the guild vaults."
The second is more complex, and seems to be connected to the strange device that was nestled inside the tabard with the chaos star pattern emblazoned upon it.
Stormwolf Communications Device Manual
Herein are included the full instructions for use of your new Stormwolf Communications Device. Please be aware that this device is property of the Stormwolf and issued to you during the duration of your employment.
On the side of the shell as well as printed directly on the device within is your communicator's unique identifying number. This is the frequency that other's devices must tune to to contact you privately. The default frequency for contacting all linked devices currently powered up is 1.1.1.1.1.
1. Powering your device up and down - The On and Off Button!
The on/off button is a button on the back of the device, clearly marked by the fact that it is bright red. While on, the device will always receive any communications sent to the default public channel.
2. Setting Your Frequency - How To Contact Others!
To contact others, you must know their frequency. On the side of the shell as well as printed directly on the device within is your communicator's unique identifying number. This is the number required to contact them. All numbers are listed in The Directory located in the Mess Hall aboard the ship.
Simply set your sliders to the desired frequency, locate the 'transmit button' on the side of the device, and hold it down while you are speaking.
Please be aware that not everyone's device may be turned on or receiving at the time, and you may need to wait until later to successfully contact them.

OOC Section:
- Your communications device utilizes /o for open contact to all crew members with their devices turned on and receiving.
- You may use whispers to RP contacting via private frequency on the coms.
- While some engineers are able to modify the device to their personal preferences, please be aware that you should still maintain a proper 'look' and 'feel' for the device - it is not a modern contraption, and should follow a sort of dated steampunk theme regardless of its new appearance.
