FANGS
Our In Character promotion system functions via the distribution of marks of commendation called 'fangs'. The ranks state how many fangs are needed for your promotion to that rank to happen.
These actions will award you fangs:
DECAY
Fangs will decay at a rate of 3 per month of inactivity without notice given. If you need to go inactive, please be sure to give notice for a leave of absence. LoA will result in no decay. This rate may be adjusted after seeing it in the works. This may be changed to a percentage of total fangs rather than a flat number.
Fangs may be taken away as a disciplinary action for IC or OOC reasons.
RANKS
NOTE: Any rank above Crewman will require you to have an authenticator attached to your account. This is purely for the security of the guild bank, and acquiring one is very simple nowadays.
Powder Monkey - Must be lvl15 to join (DKs: 60)
The lowest rank you start at. You are the coffee bitch, now go make some coffee for the captain!
Crewman - Must be lvl60 (DKs: 70) + 10 Fangs
The basic rank for every good crew member who has shown their potential.
Veteran Ranks
The crewman eligible for a promotion as stated by the fang requirement and level requirement may choose which section they desire to join, and this selection should reflect their In Character concept and character interests. Note that you don't necessarily need to be a healing class to progress into being a surgeon - somebody might have a character concept based on first aid and if they wish to play that character as a Surgeon, that would be acceptable. The rest of the four sections are equally flexible - artificer doesn't mean you have to be an engineer, it simply means you're somehow a skilled worker, blade can be anybody with a sharp edge that they like to stick into people, and any class can have an interest in information, spying, or socialising and/or politics.
-Blade - Must be Level Capped + 25 Fangs
Those who have proved themselves via combat prowess.
-Surgeon - Must be Level Capped + 25 Fangs
The medics with the sharpest tools or best spells for stitching others back together.
-Agent - Must be Level Capped + 25 Fangs
Those adept at information gathering and jobs requiring discretion and tact.
-Artificer - Must be Level Capped + 25 Fangs
Those interested in and proven to be good at creating and maintaining devices, gear, or others items of use.
Mate - A long-time member with a great deal of initiative and a strong In Character presence might get promoted to this rank; Junior Officer
Lieutenant - Officer Rank
The Captain's chosen for keeping the rest in line, and to offer guidance and protection.
Note: Not all characters of this rank are ICly officers. Officer alts are often also promoted to this rank to make management easier.
Captain - Guild Master
Leading this mess.
Exception rank: Associate - A freelancer who is occasionally commissioned to do tasks for the Stormwolf, but they are not under permanent contract.
This rank is NOT for general access. People are set to this rank on case by case basis. They are often the alts of people who wish to benefit from guild perks, but find it absolutely impossible to change their character concept enough to accept permanent employment. Associates don't enjoy the same benefit of being automatically invited to every guild event like members are.
